The Fluvanna volleyball team defeated Charlottesville 3-0 (25-5, 25-9, 25-11) in the opening round of the Jefferson District Tournament.

The Fluvanna volleyball team wrapped up at least third place in the Jefferson District by sweeping Monticello 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-22) Thursday night.

It was a game of runs as the Fluvanna volleyball team swept visiting Charlottesville 3-0 (25-20, 25-14, 25-14).
Perennial volleyball powerhouse Powhatan bent but didn’t break, going five games against the young and surging Flucos. The Indians won 3-2 (25-27, 25-18, 25-23, 23-25, 15-9).
The Fluvanna volleyball team started the Jefferson District schedule right, defeating Louisa 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-20).
The Fluco volleyball team beat Madison 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-21) to keep the unbeaten streak in both games and matches alive.
In only the second match of the season, the Fluvanna volleyball team still hasn’t even lost a game after defeating Goochland 3-0 (25-13, 25-10, 25-9).
Fluvanna fell in the semifinals of the Region II Tournament against Broad Run 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-15) on Monday night.
“[The Flucos] played a whole lot harder than the scoreboard showed,” said head coach Christi Harlowe-Garrett.
