Anderson making STATEments, all the way to the top

YaYa Anderson was named co-state player of the year for Group AA, Division 3 by the Virginia High School Coaches Association on March 21.

He is making it a humble ending to a season where he could boast. Most 17 year old boys would beat their chest and shout it from the rooftops if selected for such an accolade.

The Fluvanna boys’ basketball team stands just two wins away from the ultimate goal, winning the Group AA Div. 3 state championship.

Fluvanna’s big game against Little Giants

About 400 teams started the year in a quest to make it to Richmond, Va during the week of March 8.

Now, 40 teams are still standing in the quest for a Virginia High School League basketball state championship.
