In the last five minutes of regulation and the first overtime, the Flyin’ Flucos’ timing just happened to be enough to escape from Monticello with a 3-2 overtime win.
The Fluvanna girls’ soccer team scored early and often in a 10-1 rout over visiting Louisa.
“Last game to this game has been a huge improvement,” said FCHS head coach Tara Garcia. “Everybody has just bought into the system and we are going after a common goal.”
The Western Albemarle girls’ soccer team beat Fluvanna 4-1 Tuesday night in the Fluco home opener.
“I couldn’t be prouder. We played well; the score isn’t reflective of the game we had. We had possession a lot of the game,” said FCHS head coach Tara Garcia.
