Emily Rae Farina is a rising senior at Fluvanna County High School in Palmyra, Va.
She was selected for an internship with FlucoBlog.com in March 2011. In May of the same year she was hired as a junior writer. She was hired for Fluco Sports Net in October 2011.
Born in Maryland, Farina moved to Virginia in the fall of 1994. Farina and older brother Alex are the children of Kevin and Linda Farina.
Farina took journalism for three years and was a co-editor of the FCHS 2011 Yearbook. After interning in the spring of 2011 with FlucoBlog.com, executive editor Bryan Rothamel promoted Farina to junior writer.
Along with writing for FlucoSportsNet.com, Farina is an insider at Domino’s Pizza.
After graduating from FCHS, Farina hopes to attend either James Madison University or Virginia Tech. She plans to pursue a major in journalism, communications or biology.
